What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol, a natural compound found in cannabis plants, including marijuana and hemp. Internally, it is commonly used to support relaxation and help ease discomfort.

The body has a built-in network called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which helps regulate key functions such as sleep, mood, pain, and immune response.

When consumed, CBD works with this system indirectly. Rather than activating ECS receptors directly, it helps the body use its own naturally produced endocannabinoids more effectively, supporting balance without causing intoxication.

CBD in skincare

In skincare, CBD is valued as a non-psychoactive compound from cannabis with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and oil-balancing properties. Applied topically, it can help calm irritation, reduce acne, and address signs of aging by supporting the skin’s endocannabinoid system and helping maintain balance.
