Pura Vida translates to “pure life” or “simple life”. It is a way of life. A path you choose when you know what’s best for your body and mind. It is a philosophy we apply to our lives, consumption, and the organic products we create.
Pura Vida means providing you with the purest possible natural alternative to mainstream cosmetics, with minimal environmental impact. Skincare crafted with nutrient-dense, organic, certified ingredients that can be used on the most sensitive skins and by the most selective health-conscious consumers.
Organic Minimalist, Handmade.
We started this company because we could not find simple organic products for our skin types that used quality ingredients, weren’t mostly water, met our standards, and proved their quality through third-party certifications. We’re fussy eaters, and we’re picky about what we use on our skin. We plan to set a new, higher standard in skincare.
“Pura Vida started as a personal journey in creating skin care products that could be used on my sensitive skin. I couldn’t find 100% natural and organic products that met my standards, so I made them myself. Once I discovered what worked for my skin, I wanted to share it with everyone else.”
Recyclable & reusable packaging.
As we try our best to migrate to plastic-free options, all of our products use recyclable and reusable glass and aluminium, and only where essential, and while better options do not exist, recyclable plastic.
Biodynamic farming.
We work closely with many of the farmers of our raw materials. Our lavender comes from the local island of Hvar, or Hemp is grown nearby biodynamically and specifically for us. We work with people who share our environmental values from seed to shelf.
Sustainable packaging.
Our boxes are made of 25% grass, a resource more abundant than wood, to create the unique packaging that houses our products.
Handmade
Our products are made with care by the hands of the extraordinary ladies in our community who make every day a new and fun experience. We aim to create jobs for mothers.
Cosmos certification
Organic certification by the most highly regarded board in the world – COSMOS. To give our customers peace of mind that our products are as organic as they claim to be, and are produced sustainably. All of our non-seasonal products carry this certification.
